On the 1st, over three hundred fans came to say good-bye to Super Junior’s Kim Heechul.
Kim came to the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan around 1:02 p.m.
He was wearing a cap but he took it off when he said hello to the reporters.
He jokingly said, “I didn’t want to say good-bye in front of people. But my shaved head looked better than I expected so I decided to stand in front of cameras. I’ll be back as an adult.”
When the reporters asked Kim to salute, he refused and said, “I’m too shy. I will do that later.”
Kim had a car accident in 2006 and he had metal pins inserted into his fractured leg. As a result, he will do alternative service.
Over three hundred fans from all over the world, including, Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Turkey, Russia, and many more, came to see Kim. They were holding banners saying, “I’ll wait for you! Two years will feel like two days.”
Vicky, from Thailand said in Korean, “I came to Korea last Monday to say good-bye to Kim.” A Turkey girl also said, “I came to Korea with my sister last month. And we came here to see Kim.”
Other members of Super Junior didn’t come.
A spokesperson for their agency said, “Kim didn’t want the members come to see him. They said good-bye to each other this morning at the house.”
Kim will do alternative service for twenty three months after one month of training.
